|This is one of my favorites, because of the uniqueness. I love her "magical stampede" powers!|
“Oronor, don’t leave, we can find a way, we can- we can- “
“Athena, I must go, for the safety of our children, you, I broke a law, I must leave.”
“Love is not a law that can be broken.”
“Above the sea, not below it. Athena- “
“No! We can- we can... we can use magic.”
“ATHENA! That is going too far. I broke one law for you. I won’t break another to put my family in more danger then it is already.”
“Come back... to me. See your child. So we can love again.”
“I will. I... I promise.” Oronor swam into the ocean, his long tentacles leave the surface last. Athena stood up, her hands on her raised stomach, and walked away with damp eyes.
|End of Chapter 2|
It Was Dark and Stormy Night, and the sea was wild with waves. It was crash after crash, and you couldn’t hear your own breath. Ursula, a half-human, half-octopus, was carrying here deformed twin, half-human, and half what we call now squid. She was swimming towards the waves with all her might as every living thing tumbled behind her. She had to get her sister behind The Wave Wall of Protection. Ursula always went to the very edge of it at the age of five, and she always saw King Triton pass through it every day. He made the law himself that it was forbidden to pass through, and anyone who did, survived it, and came back would be severely punished. Ursula swore to herself she would break through the wall and run away from Atlantis because she knew that behind it was a beautiful paradise, that King Triton wanted for himself. Now with her sister severely injured from the storm, the paradise beyond the wall was the only way to get her to safety, so now was her chance
Ursula finally managed to make it to the wall. Her sister was tied into Ursula’s tentacles. With the last bit of energy she had, she flew like a bullet for a second or two, straight through the wall. Beyond the wall was a beautiful paradise, but Ursula had to get away from the entrance so King Triton didn’t see her beyond the wall.
Eventually, she found a sunken ship. She decided that this would be her home. She went in with a prideful smile on her face, which suddenly disappeared, as the ship was an unbelievable mess, not made by just a few storms, but by someone who lived there and died. Ursula found the body and quickly buried him miles away. As Ursula started to clean up, she saw that much of the mess was witchcraft ingredients. Alligator Tears, Fish Cheeks, Anemone’s Spike, and many other things.
“Alusrue, my sister please give me a sign you can hear me,” Ursula said, her eyes full of hope.
“Ursula, my sister,” her voice, weak, and gasping, “I don’t think I can make it.”
“Oh, but my sister!” Ursula said with tears rolling down her cheeks, “There must be a way!”
“Oh, but sister, there is no running from death,” Alusrue said barely making it.
And so, Alusrue was put in a Conservation Capsule, which conserved her body, not her life, while Ursula used every ingredient on the ship to try and find a cure for Alusrue.
Ursula had been living in that ship for just a bit over a year, and she was on the verge of going crazy. It was her 19th birthday, and she had made a small cake to celebrate. Her one wish was to have a companion to help her heal her sister. She made a wish and blew out the water candles.
That night, when Ursula was just about to sleep, she heard banging throughout the ship.
“Urssssssula!” A deep voice crooned.
“Yessssss!” another voice crooned, “Urssssssula!”
Ursula, as scared as a shrimp, grabbed a fog potion she discovered in one of her early experiments. As she heard the two creatures slither into the room, she threw the potion onto the ground, and with a sizzle and a snap, there was fog everywhere, blinding the creatures.
“Oh, Urssssssula!” One said, “This burnssssss our eyes!”
“Why did you do thissssss?!” said the other, “You wisssssshed for ussssss!”
“Yessssss!” the other said, “We’re here to help!”
“He-He-Help?” Ursula said her voice trembling and her hand grasping the Paralyze Potion she recently discovered.
“Why elsssssse would we be here?” he said.
“Yessssss! You ussssssed the wisssssshing candlessssss!” said the other.
“Now pleasssssse, put down the poootion.” Ursula put down the potion as told.
“Now, I am Jetssssssam, and thissssss issssss- “
“Flotssssssam, yessssss, I am Flotssssssam.” As the fog cleared, two moray eels slithered farther into the dark, dank, wooden room. They each had one white eye.
“You can help me?” Ursula asked.
“Yessssss,” Flotsam said, “You ssssssee, with our two white eyessssss, we can- “
“Ssssssee anything, anywhere you would like.” Said Jetsam.
“And my sister,” said Ursula, “She’s dead and deformed! She has injuries on her head and her tentacles! We have to- “
“Revive her?” said Jetsam.
“Becausssssse that’ssssss why we’re here, and- “said Flotssssssam.
“We brought the reccccccipe for that poootion.” replied Jetsam
Ursula thought hard that night. Did she want the eels around? Would her sister approve? In the end, she decided she would take a look at the potion recipe.
“Flotsam and Jetsam, I would like to see the recipe.” Ursula said, “…please.”
“Yessssss, Misssssstressssss.” They crooned.
Ursula snatched the recipe out of Flotsam’s tail.

“The family of King Triton...” Ursula hissed.
“You mean- “
“Aquata and Andrina?” said Flotsam
“Arissssssta and Attina?” said Jetsam
“Adella and Alana?” Flotsam said
“and- “Jetsam exclaimed.
They both gasped.
“Ariel and Triton???” they whispered.
“Yes!” Ursula said in delight, “And I will do it gladly! For King Triton is a liar! He does not deserve his daughters!”
“But do hissssss daughterssssss desssssserve thissssss?”
“They are young! They do no know what they deserve.” Ursula said, with a prideful smile upon her face. Ursula ripped off her woven seaweed covers and swam out of the ship. She shot to the surface, and instead of watching the sun rise, she watched the moon set. Her innocent, white, flowing dress turned into a guilty, black, skin-tight dress. Her long, silky black hair turned to a short, still black hair-do with a white stripe. Her pure, pale skin turned to stiff, lavender, scales. Evil was taking over Ursula.
“KING TRITON!!!” she bellowed, “I WILL DESTROY ALL OF YOU DAUGHTERS, OLDEST TO YOUNGEST, EVERY FULL MOON!!!” She thought for a few second before adding:
“AND THEN I’LL DESTROY YOU!!!”
